We believe art unlocks the creativity hidden inside each of our students! Art is incorporated into the fabric of all our classrooms, but at Crozet Avenue we enjoy the unique opportunity of having a designated time to learn the techniques and styles of artists from around the world. Art time with Ms. Krista begins with a book that exemplifies an artistic style or idea, and then our students create their own works of art using the tools and styles they have learned.

Our students gather once a week for age-appropriate Chapel, led by Pastor Christy. We remind them that they are loved by a God who is full of kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and grace. We then teach them to share that love with their families, friends, and neighbors.

In one of our favorite Bible verses, Jesus says, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to them belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).

Music is one of God’s greatest gifts to us, and it is also one of the best tools for helping preschoolers to move, laugh, and learn. During music class at Crozet Avenue, led by Ms. Amanda, students are exposed to rhythm and sound through a variety of instruments, songs and dances. Students participate in creating music, learning rhymes and rhythms, and expressing their own sounds with their voices and creative ideas.
